It was purchased by popular American Jeweller – Harry Winston whose CFO Robert Scott was bidding for this exquisite piece of jewel who want it in Harry Winston any how & he strikes the deal.
Originally this Emerald is bought by John D. Rockefeller Jr. in 1930 & it was studded into a lavish brooch for Mr. Rockefeller Jr. Wife, Abby Aldrich Rockefeller & later after death of wife in 1948 it was disassembled Later it was given to the youngest son of Rockefeller family – Mr. David Rockefeller.
